We welcome parents to bring children in for a check-up once their first tooth develops or before their first birthday, whichever comes first. During this appointment, Dr. Dinh visually evaluates your child’s smile, determining proper tooth development. He will also go over at-home care, nutrition, and other important at-home practices for ensuring the continued health of your child’s smile.

As your child begins developing more teeth, monitoring changes and identifying future dental issues is an important part of proper growth. We recommend that children be brought in for routine dental cleanings starting around two or three. During these bi-annual appointments, we gently clean teeth, apply dental sealants and may recommend fluoride rinses to help prevent cavities from developing. We want your child to feel comfortable during these visits; rather than rushing through care, we take the time to explain how different tools work and what is going on using kid-friendly language and hands-on demonstration.
